I hope you like the series too. It is worth to watch it! I am not telling too  much about the story – never do in my reviews – you have to see the series yourself and make your own opinion.

In my view…

Previously? Prejudices?

I wrote previously about the first season – ‘The Vampire Diaries | Season One‘ – and the second season – ‘The Vampire Diaries | Season Two‘. And even season six has just ended and season seven is coming up in 2016. This series goes on for much longer than I expected, but the series are well written and filmed! So no surprise they keep going on.

For explanation about the main characters see ‘The Vampire Diaries | Season One‘ as well as for the top 25 cast throughout the whole series.

Season Three starts a bit later then where season two ended. The story has gained through the first two seasons quite a body and should be quite clear now. Though I can tell you, every season has lots of surprises and new thing to add to the ‘body’ of the series.

This third seasons was released in the United States in September 2011 and the season finale was in May 2012. Again 22 episodes – I should figure out another time why every big series is divided into 22 episode of all approximately 40-45 minutes – but with total different titles than the previous two series. With this information you recognize that there is a lot more going on.

Bigger differences between the episodes and characters, I’ll give a description of where the first episode of this season starts with.
The season starts at the subject of Elena’s birthday and now it is not Stefan who is investigating the curious actions and habits of Damon, but exactly the opposite. Damon is keeping an eye on Stefan’s behavior. Caroline and Matt are the best friends of the group. They both are entrusted with secrets from their friends and what is happening to them. But how the Salvatore brothers act to each other does not work out well. It did not work out for a long time, but then Elena came – where this whole series starts – and now….watch the series!

The confusing part for me is that this season – and be warned season four too but a bit less than this one – switches so much between the characters, happenings, conspiracies and so on. This makes the series also very strong! The series is getting better and better. Not the best season – season five in my opinion, but I have not seen season six yet nor season seven – if you like action, you will find this the best season up to now.
