Books to films in 2016

Not only YA books, áll books!
The book becomes a film anno 2016

The new year has started so it is time for a new list of books that are / will be filmed to become films in 2016! This post is a listed overview of which books will be seen as film in theatres this year.

Also I have seen along the internet several lists, and I have put everything together and checked with IMDb. The dates mentioned are those looked up today (January 5th, 2016). If a book was not mentioned in the media before in those lists – as far as I have seen – I have written New to the list beneath the title to make it clear. If I write …As in… means the author(s) of the book wrote a … kind of book.

  1. They’re making a movie out of THE DARK TOWER! The GUNSLINGER SERIES!!! I read the whole series, well all that was written, as a youngin’! I can’t wait! Thank you for making my 2016!

P.S. The Big Short is, from what I’ve read, short on reality. It’s an attempted re-write of history that leaves out the fact that the whole mess was created and enforced by our government. Just so you know. Nice post.

  2. Wow that’s quite a list! I’m not super-excited about any of them though. I would like to see Fantastic Beasts, but the trailer was disappointing, so I’m hoping they saved the good parts for the movie. Then there’s the 5th Wave: I loved the book, but was seriously annoyed by the sequel. Then there’s the Death Cure. I didn’t really like the first Maze Runner movie, thought the second was was kinda cool, so it’s just waiting to see if Hollywood messes this last one up or not.

Which ones are you most excited about?
