My book review of “Café au Lait” written by Elsbeth Witt

In my view…

This book is the first book of a trilogy about three women who are baristas in a coffee bar in Utrecht. A city crowded with students and lots of them studying in the medicine or psychology scene. Also these three baristas. Though they have their own life that is quite different from the other, they all come in one place: Barista! The coffeebar with their Italian boss Luigi.

Writing style / spelling

I have read this book in the summer of 2015 and I have not discovered any spelling or grammar mistakes. It is a book you can read within a few days or evenings. You read easily ~100 pages a day.

Main characters

The main character throughout this sequel is Laura. And Laura is head over heels when suddenly a handsome man steps by at Barista! Her colleague Iris is one of her best friends and she has – in contrast to Laura – quite a steady study period. Iris got her job at Barista! thanks to Laura and the Italian Luigi – the boss of Barista!

A book full of Italian coffee, now and then a cupcake and just lots of love for the job and the people around them.

I hope you like the book too. It is worth to read it! I am not telling about the story too much– never do in my book reviews – you have to read the book yourself and make your own opinion.

Greetings by Sophie
