In my view…

This film is a true story about the life of Bethany Hamilton during her youth and a tragic accident that changed here life. But did it change her life completely? Yes in a certain way…This film is inspiring, incredible! The strength someone has to go on, to fight for the things you love. There is always another way to cope with it.

You hear in the news sometimes (rarely here in Europe) that there has been a shark attack. I wonder how it is for people living next to it. In the area of the sharks and the big great blue ocean with it’s high waves.

In my view…
The film ‘Beastly’ is a fantasy film – reminds you of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ – in a modern suit. Yes, really a suited up version. ‘Beauty and the Beast’ has its own fantasy classic charms and ‘Beastly’ has its own more reality-linked charms. The films are both charm and charming as well.
You would think that when I mention ‘Beauty and the Beast’ there are those littleĀ magical surroundings in ‘Beastly’ too. But they are not. In this film the charms is in and comes from the characters of the story. Only they are magical or special in some other way.

The Imitation Game (2014)

The Imitation Game (2014) a film based on the incredible true story of Alan Turing.

In my view…
An historic true film about the World War II, but a different one than you mostly expect when somebody says: a film about the World War II. Most of the times you expect fighting soldiers, the smoke of the guns, the huge tanks in the narrow streets of the old towns, bunkers, submarine dramas and sharp sound of falling bombs out of the sky from swift airplanes. But no, this film is not focussing on that. The film is based on the real-life story of Alan Turing, a genius cryptanalyst whose job is during the war to solve the messenger code of the Germans called Enigma.
